This website is devoted to the education of CSEA members

About this site:  The focus of this member sponsored site is to provide CSEA union members with a valuable guide to how our union functions. Over the years I have noticed the lack of accesibility to basic information on how our union operates and have been shocked and sometimes angered by the misinformation provided from leaders that either don't know the answers to my queries or have used my lack of knowledge to mislead me. Throughout this site I will reference our Unit, Local and Statewide Constitutions, Unit, Local and Statewide By-Laws and the CSEA Officers Manual to provide correct information and a basis to determine how a more democratic union can be achieved.

Complicated
Yes, this is a complicated website about a complicated organization. Our union has many layers of officers that are guided by Unit, Local, Regional and Statewide Constitutions. Often times members have questions but find little in the way of accurate responses. This site is about getting members the information they need to make intelligent decisions.

Refer to this website for:
Information about our unions structure, such as, chain of command, and the CSEA's intended funtcion of each office, and mandatory committees, such as, Audit, Membership, Budget, Political & Legislative Action, Health and Safety and Grievance. We also hope to incorporate the entire Agreement (contract) between our employer and our Unit.
